Private island archipelago for saleLocationNew! See Martinique Beach and Bayers Islands via satellite: here. Where
The Bayers Islands group is located on the "Eastern Shore" of Nova Scotia, Canada. Nova Scotia is known as "Canada's Ocean Playground", and shares a climate similar to Boston's, due largely to the proximity of the Gulf Stream.
Martinique Beach is conveniently located within a 40 minute drive of both downtown Halifax, and the Halifax International Airport. (A 25-minute hike down beautiful Martinique Beach is then required to reach the property). Secluded, Yet Accessible Bayers Islands is secluded, offering total privacy, yet is readily accessible to the physically fit. This is not the kind of property that you can drive a minivan to, and for this reason it has remained pristine. With the Martinique Beach Provincial Park to the West, the Game Sanctuary and other Nature Conservancy holdings to the North, the wide Mosquodoboit Harbour to the East, and the open Ocean to the South, you are ensured of a wide buffer zone wherein development will never occur. On the other hand, you are within 10 minutes by boat of a government wharf; and within 10 km from the Provincial Park parking lot to a Hospital, supermarket, building supply warehouse, police station, and the town of Musquodoboit Harbour, the largest town East of Halifax.
Nicely Laid Out This photo from several miles up shows exactly how everything is put together. Note the end of Martinique Beach in the upper left; Flying Point in the lower left; and then Middle Point and Bayer Point further to the right. The smaller islands that also make up part of the property are also visible. This picture was taken at Low Tide (otherwise you would see water in the marsh areas). The three large islands are interconnected by smooth cobble beaches (note the white line around the islands).
